Competed in football and wrestling for Alhambra High School in Phoenix, where he gained All-State recognition in both sports. Voted All-American Boy two years. At Glendale Junior College in Phoenix he was voted All-Arizona Junior College two years. Hometown newspapers Phoenix Gazette, Arizona Republic and Maryvale Star. Hobbies sports. Majoring in Sociology and plans a career in public relations. Last year lettered as a defensive tackle at USIU but this year has switched to linebacker.
