THEN: NOW: Dear Friends and Family: It saddens me to tell you that Robert Ralph Lent (Bobby) passed away in his sleep this morning, January 6, 2014, at 1:30 AM Pacific time in Newport Beach, California. Bobby passed away peacefully with his two daughters and son-in-law at his side. Bob was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer about six months ago while living at his home in Costa Rica. Bob sought medical treatment at Hoag Hospital receiving both radiation and chemo. I had the opportunity to visit Bob on two occasions while in the hospital and I assure you he put up a gallant fight. Bob will be cremated and a memorial will be held in three to four weeks in Southern California.
